Knock, knock, knock on wood

Well, it was a small gathering on New Year’s Eve, Mr & Mrs Wighteye together with Little Cat’s Mum and Dad (sadly, Little Cat was a little under the weather and couldn’t make it), a case of good company, great food and being laid back to my undoubtedly choice musical programming:

Ben Harper & The Blind Boys of Alabama  ‘There will be a light’                                         Van Morrison  ‘Moondance’                                                                                                       Paul Armfield & The Four Good Reasons ‘Songs without words’

With Little Cat calling, his Mum & Dad were denied the opportunity to share in Jools Holland’s Hootenanny on BBC2, the star of which was Eddie Floyd, ancient soul man from the Atlantic label;  despite his age, he pulled out all the stops and showed the likes of Kylie Minogue and Kate Nash how a performance should be!
